Tier 1
≈ ironMines ore tiers 0–1. Pyroxene comes from Nether Pyroxene: it has no Overworld ore block.
Aqua Axolotl Studios · Minecraft Bedrock add-on
A full survival-RPG expansion for Minecraft Bedrock. Nineteen new metals to mine and smelt, twenty armor sets with set bonuses, spears, sixty-one entities and three bosses — plus thirst, body temperature, classes, companions and the dungeons that open under your feet.
61 blocks · 59 custom particles · 4 RPG classes across 6 tiers · 3 languages · 5 world events · 4 territory families · 3 bosses · 4 companions · 10 toggleable utilities · dungeons of 5–10 rooms.
Progression · 19 metals · 38 ore blocks
Every metal generates as a stone ore and a deepslate ore — thirty-eight ore blocks in total — and each one carries its own tools, its own spear, its own sword and a four-piece armor set. Mine the raw ore, smelt it in a furnace or a blast furnace, and the ingot unlocks the rest of the chain. Pyroxene is the exception: it comes out of the Nether.
Mines ore tiers 0–1. Pyroxene comes from Nether Pyroxene: it has no Overworld ore block.
Mines ore tiers 0–2. Beryl has no raw ore — the block drops the ingot directly.
Mines ore tiers 0–3. Spears of this tier reach 5.0 blocks and land a charged strike.
Mines ore tiers 0–5. The end of the progression: 44 defense points on a full Adamantium set.

Mining a custom ore is handled by script: the block yields its raw material and experience based on the tier of the pickaxe you are holding. Four pickaxe tiers gate the progression — tier 4 pickaxes mine everything up to tier 5.
Beryl has no raw ore: the block drops the ingot directly. Pyroxene has no Overworld ore block at all — the chain starts at Nether Pyroxene, which drops the raw material that smelts into a Pyroxene Ingot.

Twenty sets · eighty pieces
Each of the twenty metals has a helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots. Wear all four pieces and the set bonus turns on — with visible particles when it triggers. Hold a single piece in your hand and nothing happens: the bonus counts what you are wearing, not what you are carrying.

Beyond the set bonuses, twelve metals carry a passive of their own. These activate only while the ingot or the raw material is in your hand — not with a weapon, a tool or an armor piece.
Tier 4
One death save every 120 seconds.
Tier 4
Deflects incoming projectiles.
Tier 2
Reflects 15% of the damage taken.
Tier 2
The piece repairs itself over time.
Tier 2
Momentum: movement builds up as you keep going.
Tier 2
Haste while you are below Y=0.
Tier 1
Item magnet — nearby drops pull towards you.
Tier 2
Night vision.
Tier 3
Lights up the space around your head.
Tier 3
No knockback: nothing pushes you around.
Tier 4
Passive regeneration.
Tier 3
Extra experience from what you break and kill.
Set bonus = all four pieces worn. Material passive = the ingot or raw material in hand. Nothing else triggers either.
Twenty spears · swords · special weapons
Every metal has a sword and a spear, and the pack adds its own combat tools on top: slingshots, a war hammer, a machete, a sickle and the Obsidian Sentinel's axe. Twenty sword-and-spear sets come out of the same ingots you already smelt for armor.
Spears are the answer to the most repeated request from the pack's players: every new ingot has a spear variant, with its own texture tinted from the metal's palette, and all twenty are listed in the in-game Crafting Station under Weapons.
3 damage · consumes stones
Ranged opener. Cheap, accurate and available from the first tier of the progression.
6 damage · consumes iron nuggets
The upgraded sling: double the punch of the basic one, same silent profile.
12 base damage · knockback · AoE
Heavy two-hand weapon. Area impact, Mining Fatigue on the target and SMASH! particles on every hit.
7 damage · bleed · +4 vs small creatures
Clears vegetation, opens coconuts and cuts through small wildlife faster than any sword.
Harvests vegetation
Fast reaping tool for farms and jungle work.
Crits · lifesteal · Charge · Seismic Slam
The Obsidian Sentinel's own weapon. It heals you on hit and brings two movement abilities.
RPG · 4 classes · 34 skill nodes
Pick a class and it shapes how you earn progress: a passive that is always on, an active ability on a cooldown, and a branch of the skill tree with nine or eight nodes across six tiers. Skill points come from mining, hunting, discovering biomes, crafting, achievements and missions — and whatever your class specialises in pays double.
Skill points
Mining, hunting, biome discovery, crafting, achievements and missions all pay SP. Your class action pays double. You start with 5 SP on your first spawn, alongside the Missions Book, the Config Stick and tier 1.
Prestige
Bank 50 SP and you prestige: you receive a Mastery Token and unlock the legendary skill of your class — Earthshaper for the Miner, and one apiece for the other three.
New Game+
Mobs and companions scale up, the endgame achievement unlocks, and mythic minerals and Alphas become more common. NG+ is also where the legendary tier 5 nodes open.
Bestiary · 61 entities · 3 bosses
Sixty-one entities ship in the pack: four companions, three bosses and the wildlife below, plus the utility entities (backpack chest, seat, tent, skill tree, Alpha Trophy, Blood Moon Relic, meteorites and projectiles). Hostile, neutral and passive creatures all have their own drops, XP and habitat — and thirteen of them can be tamed into mounts and pets.

Forty-eight creature loot tables give thematic drops: mammals carry leather, meat and bone, birds carry feathers, aquatic life carries fish, ink and prismarine, and Nether and End creatures carry magma cream, blaze powder, ancient debris, ender pearls and shulker shells.
Overworld spawns cover plains, savanna, jungle, forest, mountains, badlands, rivers and oceans; the Nether has five creatures of its own and the End has five, including the Obsidian Sentinel. One End creature, the End Stalker, freezes while you look at it and charges the moment you look away.
Three bosses · phase-based AI
Each boss runs a finite state machine with health-based phases, telegraphed attacks and its own title card. They are fought at the end of a dungeon, in the Nether and in the End — and one of them is the reward for surviving a Red Night.

400 HP · The End
Drops the Sentinel Axe

300 HP · The Nether
Bite rebalanced from 16 to 12

80 HP · Dungeon crypt

Procedural · 5–10 rooms
Dungeons generate on their own while you explore the Overworld below Y=60. The pack checks every thirty seconds, waits ten minutes between dungeons and never builds one directly under a player — so the first sign is a message: “You feel a cold draft coming from the stone nearby…”
5 events · 4 territories · 19 structures
The world keeps moving on its own: an ecosystem simulator runs predators, territorial Alphas and dawn migrations, five global events can be triggered from the Config Stick, and nineteen structures are placed during world generation.
| Event | Signs | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Red Night | Midnight · storm · fog | Darkness falls at midnight with a storm, its own fog, weakness on every player and waves of mobs — the Obsidian Sentinel walks the surface. |
| Eclipse | Blindness · void waves | Blindness and a dedicated eclipse fog, while waves of Void Crawlers and End Stalkers hunt you in the open. |
| Nether Breach | Storm · nausea · Nether mobs | A red fog rolls in with a storm and nausea, and Nether creatures start spawning in the Overworld. |
| Meteor Shower | Craters · minerals | Meteorites fall with a real crater and a payload of minerals inside. |
| Great Migration | Herd of 15 | A herd of fifteen herbivores crosses the land in one continuous migration. |
Four families hold ground in the world — the snake, the wolf spider, the crocodile and the black panther. Step into a 64×64 region and the territory marks itself, applies its debuff, and after five minutes its Alpha comes looking for you. Killing an Alpha pays 50 SP; conquering a family takes three of them.
| Family | Structures |
|---|---|
| Houses | House, tree house, ice house, wooded valley, desert shelter, stable |
| Towers | Tower, middle tower, ruin tower |
| Ruins & caves | Ruined structures and cave systems |
| Nether | Stand and stay structures |
| Ocean & lake | Ocean and lake builds |
Ore generation
Thirty-eight ore features plus Nether Pyroxene, distributed by tier so the metals you need appear where the progression expects them.
Spawn rules
Every creature has a defined habitat — Overworld biomes, caves, oceans, the Nether and the End.
Loot
48 creature tables, 44 ore tables, 11 chest tables themed by structure, plus the Alpha Trophy, the Blood Moon Relic and the meteorites.
Thirst · body temperature · Death Tomb · 10 utilities
Two meters sit under your hunger bar and they change how you travel: hydration and body heat. Both can be switched off from the Config Stick, along with the rest of the quality-of-life systems.
Thirst · 0–20
Thirst drains with time, sprinting, jumping and heat — and being inside water refills it on its own. Warnings come first, then damage.
Toggleable · hydration bar in the HUD
Body temperature · −30 °C to 60 °C
Body heat is calculated from the biome, the time of day, rain, altitude, depth and any heat or cold source near you. Extreme heat or cold drains health; armour insulates you.
The Explorer's Climate Adapted skill widens your tolerance by ±10 °C
When you die, everything you were carrying — armour and offhand included, NBT intact — is stored in a tomb at the exact spot where you fell. Go back and hit the tomb block to take it all back. Anything that does not fit in your inventory drops at your feet.
Light
Certain items place a light block wherever you go, so a cave run never depends on torches.
Fishing
One in three catches comes out alive instead of as an item, so you can move fish around.
Ambience
Environmental particles react to the block you are standing on, plus a portable backpack of 27 slots in two colours, with a serial number in its lore.
4 companions · Call Totem
Four recruitable companions — the Sentinel, the Mystic, the Ranger and the Prospector. Summon them with the Call Totem (up to five of each type per player), tame them with an Emerald or a Gold Ingot, and they level from 1 to 30 on XP. They never attack you; they only attack monsters.
| Companion | Health | Damage | Role | Behaviour |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Prospector | 40 | 3 | Melee · miner | Follows you, fights monsters in melee and can be sent to mine — it tunnels 2×1 forward until its pickaxe breaks. |
| Ranger | 40 | 4 | Ranged | Fires arrows out to 15 blocks; switches to melee when it is underwater. |
| Sentinel | 80 | 7 | Tank | Your bodyguard: high health, melee damage, and it weakens nearby hostiles. |
| Mystic | 25 | — | Support | Throws fireballs at range 15 every 2.5 seconds, heals you and slows hostiles. |
Follow · Stay · Guard · Patrol · Mine · Combat mode · Group up · Remove equipment · Dismiss. Companions can be grouped into formations, and their equipment is returned to you when they die.
Every companion has its own loadout slots and equips items by role. The Prospector can be sent to mine: it cuts a 2×1 tunnel forward until its pickaxe breaks, and leaves what it finds on the ground.
56 achievements · 70 missions · compendium
Fifty-six achievements are spread over seven categories and three rarities: common pays 1 SP, rare pays 3 SP and epic pays 5 SP, each with its own jingle.

The manual lives inside the game. Craft it with 1 Book + 4 Leather in a cross shape, and it walks you through the bestiary, crafting, geology, mining, tiers, events, ecosystems and territories, survival, progression, companions, the twenty armor sets and an about page. If you lose it, the book explains how to make another one.
135 sounds · 59 particles · 865 textures
Everything in the pack is original and namespaced: its own sound events, its own particles, its own fog, its own models and animations.
135 sound events · 131 files
Idle sounds for around thirty creatures, interaction and hit sounds, the full boss set with the Sentinel's phase and death cues, plus tier, class, UI, achievement, thirst and temperature cues.
Every sound id used by the code was audited: 111 ids verified, none silent
59 custom particles · 2 fogs
Eleven dedicated VFX, plus the two fogs that carry the world events:
obsidian_fog for the Red Night and eclipse_fog for the Eclipse.
Textures
Blocks, ores, items, armour layers, creatures, attachables and particle sheets.
Vibrant Visuals
53 texture sets plus 45 metalness, emissive and roughness maps and heightmaps over the wildlife.
Models & animation

No. It works in existing worlds, but a new world is recommended so the new ores, creatures and structures can generate.
Yes. It works in multiplayer, Realms and servers, and each player keeps their own progress, class and companions.
It is self-contained and uses its own vp_aa: namespace, so it can sit next to other add-ons. A conflict is only possible with packs that change the same vanilla mobs or recipes.
No. There are no operator commands at runtime: every world change — time of day, weather, fog, camera shake, particles, container contents — goes through the Script API, so it works in a published world with cheats disabled.
Craft the Explorer's Compendium (1 Book + 4 Leather in a cross shape). It is the in-game manual and covers every feature. Re-craft it any time you lose it.
Yes. Your items are stored in your Death Tomb. Go back and hit the tomb block to recover everything.
Every Minecraft Bedrock platform: Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, iOS and Android.
Everything the pack adds lives under vp_aa: — entities, items, blocks, particles, fogs, achievements,
sound events, script events, boss bars, tags, dynamic properties and atlas textures. It ships one Behavior Pack and
one Resource Pack, replaces no vanilla content, and contains no URLs.
